Earth Day Bulletin Board Ideas

Earth Day was established to raise awareness about the valuable resources on our planet. The goal is to get your students interested and involved, isn't it? These ideas for Earth day bulletin boards are designed to do just that in your classroom.

No Waste Challenge Board

How long can you go without adding to our land-fills? This bulletin board will help you create a No Waste Challenge for your students.

Materials

  • Old newspapers
  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Scrap paper cut into squares
  • Marker

Instructions

  • Begin by covering the bulletin board in the old newspaper.
  • Now use the toilet paper rolls to create a border for the bulletin board.
  • Use the marker to write: Who Will Win the No Waste Challenge?
  • Students should use the scrap paper cut in squares to note their name along with how many hours/days they were able to go without creating waste.
  • Make a crown for the winner out of the toilet paper rolls and newspaper as recognition for a job well done.

Climate Change Awareness Board

Our planet is getting warmer every year. This is changing life as we know it. This bulletin board helps to raise awareness about climate change both globally and locally.

Materials

  • Clean used paper bags
  • Aluminum pop tops
  • Clean used cardboard boxes cut into two large ovals
  • Marker
