Summer can be such a special time in the lives of students. This lesson helps you think about the vocabulary your students will need to talk about summer, offering activities that will help them take ownership of the vocabulary.

Talking About Summer

If you are a teacher, then you already know how special summer is to many students. This can be a time for relaxation and family. Many students enjoy spending time outdoors and doing activities the school year may not allow for. ESL students can benefit from learning vocabulary related to the season, especially if they are not going to be in school during the summer months.

This lesson offers you some examples of vocabulary that have to do with summertime. It also gives you some activities that will inspire your students to use their vocabulary to talk about summer with other people.
