Federal Taxes Lesson Plan

What do your students know about the federal tax system? This lesson plan uses a text lesson to give students an overview of federal taxes, then it guides them through a game and activity on the topic before finishing with a quiz.

Learning Objectives

After this lesson, students will be able to:

  • define key terms related to federal taxes
  • explain the process of calculating federal taxes
  • with guidance, fill out and audit federal tax return forms
