Glorious Revolution Lesson Plan for Elementary School

With this lesson plan, your students will learn about the motivations and causes of the Glorious Revolution. They will then craft their own letters to William of Orange to explain why a new king is needed.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Describe the major motivations and moments of the Glorious Revolution
  • Contextualize the Glorious Revolution within British history and explain its impact
  • Synthesize the concerns of English lords and issues of the era
