Gossip Lesson Plan for Elementary School

Instructor: Josh Corbat

Josh has taught Earth Science and Physical Science at the High School level and holds a Master of Education degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.

This lesson plan outlines one way to approach the difficult topic of gossip with your elementary students. Students will watch a few videos, discuss what gossip is and how it makes them feel, and create a plan to end gossip in their classroom.

Learning Objectives

After this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Define gossip.
  • Identify and stop gossip that can lead to hurt feelings.
