Hypnosis Lesson Plan

Use this lesson plan to teach your students about hypnosis. Students will read a text lesson that explains what hypnosis is and how it works, then work in cooperative groups to apply understanding. Quiz students to determine understanding.

Warm Up and Preparation

  • Lead students in a guided meditation found with a simple search.
  • When finished, ask students to journal five minutes about the experience, sharing how it felt, what they experienced and how they feel afterwards compared to before, noting changes in their bodies and minds.
  • Divide students into small groups and have them share their notes.
  • Discuss as a whole class and preview vocabulary.
