Internet safety is a big concern in today's tech-obsessed world. Middle and high school students may not see the dangers they face. Use these discussion questions to get them thinking and bring to light important issues about their online lives.

Why Internet Safety Discussion Questions?

Internet safety is an essential topic to address in today's classroom. Middle and high school students have a constant connection to one another and to the world and should be aware of how to stay safe online. These thought-provoking discussion questions are designed to help you broaden their thinking and provide them with issues they may not have considered or taken seriously. You may want to host a whole-class discussion or provide a list of questions to teams of students. There are several options for extension activities, as well, including research of privacy laws, social media privacy settings, or common online scams. You may want to simply have students Google their names to find out what people can immediately access.
