Can a landscape make an interesting subject for a painting? Absolutely! Landscape paintings are among the most popular in the art world and this lesson will explain why. A video lesson and a hands on activity will introduce students to the beauty of landscape painting.

Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Define 'landscape painting.'
  • List key elements of landscape paintings.
  • Discuss and analyze pivotal landscape artists and their works.
