Are you interviewing for a job as a life skills teacher? This lesson will help you get ready by giving you a sense of some likely interview questions and how you might wisely respond to them.

The Importance of the Job Interview

So, you are getting ready for an interview as a life skills teacher. Congratulations! If you have been asked for an interview, you have already completed some of the significant hurdles of the job application process. The interview is usually one of the final steps before you are offered a position, so you want to make sure to put your best foot forward.

When preparing for the interview, try to find out as much as you can about the school where you are interviewing and the person or people you will be talking with. It can also help to find out a sense of the questions you are likely to be asked. Obviously, no two interviews are exactly the same, but having a general sense of commonly asked questions will help you go a long way toward being prepared.

This lesson illustrates some of the questions you will probably be asked at your interview. It also offers examples of successful responses. Of course, as you think through your own prospective responses, the most important thing is, to be honest; show yourself for who you really are, and you will be certain to shine!
