Machu Picchu is a fascinating place of history and mystery. This asset offers multiple group activities to allow your students to fully engage with concepts related to Machu Picchu.

Why Do Machu Picchu Activities?

Activities help children process all they have learned and continue to process new information. Activities are not usually anxiety producing and allow students to engage with the material in a new way. Your upper elementary students should enjoy interacting with all the concepts they have been learning related to Machu Picchu.

Build It

This activity will see your students working in teams to present the best version of Machu Picchu.

Materials

  • Building material, such as:
    • Modeling dough
    • Building blocks
    • Legos
  • Picture of Machu Picchu

Instructions

  • Display the picture of Machu Picchu (or have copies available for students).
  • Divide your class into teams of 3-5.
