Map Projects for Middle School

Geography isn't all about maps, but they certainly do help. They enable us to picture a particular feature of the land and how it is distributed spatially. That could be cities and roads, topography, population density, or political views. They are all ways for us to understand geographic distributions. So it is valuable for students to practice creating and using maps, because it will strengthen their ability to comprehend and picture geographic features. In this lesson, we'll give you a few ideas for middle school projects involving maps.
