Mexico Lesson Plan for Elementary School

Do your students know the history of Mexico? This lesson plan uses a text lesson to outline key events in Mexico's history while highlighting its cultural influences. An activity connects students with key Mexican landmarks.

Materials

  • A map of Mexico
  • Paper copies of the text lesson History of Mexico Lesson for Kids, one for each student
  • A worksheet created using the quiz from the associated text lesson, one for each student
  • Several photographs of the Mayan pyramids of Mexico
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers in assorted colors
