Sewing Safety Lesson Plan

Instructor: Mary Beth Burns

Mary Beth has taught 1st, 4th and 5th grade and has a specialist degree in Educational Leadership. She is currently an assistant principal.

In this lesson plan, students will learn more about sewing safety. They will read an explanatory text and engage in collaborative discussion. Students will also create an ABC book about sewing safety.

Lesson Objectives

  • Explain how to sew safely
  • Create an alphabet book that summarizes sewing safety

Speak in complete sentences when appropriate to task and situation in order to provide requested detail or clarification.
