To buy or not to buy? Follow the Garcia family on a shopping spree for fall and winter clothing and add new vocabulary words to your Spanish language repertoire.

El Vocabulario

Es septiembre y la familia García necesita comprar ropa nueva (RO-pah noo-AY-vah) para invierno y otoño.

Primero, papá va a probarse (pro-BAR-say) una camisa (cah-MEE-sah), unos pantalones (pan-tah-LO-ness), y unos zapatos (za-PAH-toes) para el trabajo.

Papa lleva ropa

?Qué tal? ?Está guapo? Hmmm... Falta algo. ?Un sombrero? ¡Sí! ¡Exactamente, un sombrero (som-BRAY-ro)!

?Y Juanito? Juanito va a probarse un traje (TRAH-hay) para su graduación. También necesita un cinturón (sin-too-RON) y una corbata (cor-BAH-tah).

Juanito lleva ropa

?Qué tal? ?Está guapo? Claro que si.

Y ahora, Catalina. Catalina va a probarse cosas diferentes: unos calcetines (cal-say-TEEN-ays), un abrigo (ah-BREE-go), unas botas (BO-tahs), y guantes (goo-AHN-tays).

Catalina lleva ropa

?Qué tal está? ¡Muy bein!

¡Y yo! Yo soy Teresa. Yo necesito unos zapatos de tenis (za-PAH-toes de TAY-nees) para correr, un suéter (soo-EH-ter), y una chaqueta (chah-KAY-tah) para cuando hace frío.
