Steam Engine Lesson Plan

Do your students know about the power of steam? This lesson plan uses an engaging and informative text lesson to teach students general facts about steam engines. An activity allows them to design their own steam-powered vehicles.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • outline the basic operations and functions of a steam engine
  • summarize the history of the steam engine
