How do you deal with stress at work? In this lesson, you'll learn ways to manage stress incurred from dealing with customer calls and how to protect your emotional well-being in and out of the office.

Stressed Out

We've all been there: we find ourselves on the phone with customer service or in line at our favorite store frustrated with a purchase or a particular unpleasant experience. Your heart starts beating quickly, you may feel your body temperature rising, your head starts pounding, and every muscle in your body tenses up.

Managing stress is an important part of working as a call center agent.

Not only can it be a stressful, emotionally draining experience for the customer, but customer service representatives and call center agents can suffer from similar stress-induced side effects. Knowing how to manage, or even prevent, these symptoms can do your body and mind good.

Minimize Stress & Emotional Impact

Working with the public can be a taxing and stressful experience. Learning how to cope with these challenges will minimize the impact of an agent's emotional well-being and stress levels. Here are some tips for keeping the stress at bay and the emotions in check.
