Sun Safety Lesson Plan

Make sure your students know how to safely have fun in the sun all year round. Use this lesson plan to teach your students about sun safety with the help of a short article, engaging discussion questions, and a creative hands-on activity.

  • identify items necessary for sun safety
  • explain why these items are important

Determine the meaning of words and phrases in a text relevant to a grade 2 topic or subject area.

  • CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.2.2:

Recount or describe key ideas or details from a text read aloud or information presented orally or through other media.
