We often use deductive reasoning without realizing that we are using it. Your students will learn about syllogisms as they read and discuss a text lesson, write their own syllogisms, and identify and check for accuracy in syllogisms.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this lesson students will be able to:

  • Define syllogism
  • Describe the deductive reasoning used in syllogism
  • Identify true and false conclusions in syllogism
