When people work in groups, conflicts are bound to come up, so it's important that group members feel a sense of trust and belonging. This lesson offers some exercises that help build teamwork skills when learning about conflict resolution.

Why Team Building Exercises?

Have you ever worked with a large group? If so, you know that it is inevitable that conflicts will arise. In fact, conflicts can be healthy, but if group members don't feel dedication to the team or group effort, they can also fester without resolution. That's why it is so important to build a sense of cooperation among your group members.

One thing you can do to help prepare your students to take on conflict resolution is to engage them in team building exercises. Team building exercises help participants get to know and trust one another, preparing them to take on challenges that will come up. Team building exercises are often fun, collaborative, and access a variety of learning styles, while building a sense of togetherness and dedication to the group.
