Warsaw Pact Lesson Plan

Maria has a Doctorate of Education and over 15 years of experience teaching psychology and math related courses at the university level.

This lesson plan guides teachers through the presentation of the fall of the Soviet Union, communism and the Warsaw Pact. Students will engage in an active game and introspective, as well as informative writing activities.

Learning Objectives

After this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Summarize the Warsaw Pact
  • Explain the impact of the fall of the Soviet Union on surrounding communist countries
  • Describe the end of the Soviet Union

Length

1 Hour. The length of the extended long-term writing assignment will vary by student.
