Water conservation projects are an entertaining and educational way for your students to display what they have learned about water conservation in the class. The following projects will help students to demonstrate their learning.

Water Conservation Projects

Your students are learning about water conservation and how it affects the environment. They could simply read about it and take notes, but engaging projects can complement reading and notes to reinforce concepts. Water conservation projects help make lessons about water conservation real to your students and may very well help them retain information. The projects presented here are interactive and make for a fun learning experience for your students.

Expert Interview Project

This a chance for students at every grade level to put together the information you've taught them about water conservation. Put students in groups of four for this project, which will take approximately two hours to complete. Start by telling your students they're going to set up an interview session about water conservation where two of them are the experts and the other two are the interviewers. This can be set up as a formal interview or a news report interview.

The two 'experts' students start by writing a summary about water conservation. Then, the two 'interviewer' students should write a couple of questions based on that summary. The experts will then need to research the answer to the questions and write them out. This should go back and forth until there are three sets of questions. The written summary, questions and answers become the script for the interview. Have your students to present their interviews to the class.
