Welsh Culture Lesson Plan

Tammy teaches business courses at the post-secondary and secondary level and has a master's of business administration in finance.

With this lesson plan, students will learn about historic and modern day Wales. They will read two lessons, take two quizzes and participate in an engaging activity. An optional extension is available also.

Learning Objectives

After this lesson students will be able to:

  • Discuss the ancient and medieval history of Wales
  • Identify and list important figures who made an impact on Welsh culture
  • Describe modern-day Wales

60 minutes; 30 minute extension (optional)

Identify key steps in a text's description of a process related to history/social studies (e.g., how a bill becomes law, how interest rates are raised or lowered).

Determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including vocabulary specific to domains related to history/social studies.

Describe how a text presents information (e.g., sequentially, comparatively, causally).
