Zoo Officials Lesson Plan for Elementary School

Use this imaginative lesson plan to teach your students what zoo officials are and what their job entails. Students will identify and discuss responsibilities of zoo officials, then do a zoo officials role-playing activity.

45 minutes for core lesson, plus 30-50 minutes for supporting activity

  • Paper bags
  • Scissors
  • Colored pencils
  • Markers
  • Tape
  • Chart paper

Preparation

  • Instruct students to bring in stuffed animals for this lesson. Make sure students label clearly to avoid confusion of ownership.
