AEPA Exam Registration Information

Registering for the AEPA Exam

If you'd like to become a certified teacher in the state of Arizona, you will need to pass one or more exams in the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessments (AEPA) series.

To register for an AEPA exam, you will need to visit the AEPA website. There you will be able to determine exactly which tests you need to take and find information specific to each exam, including available test dates, exam duration, and format, as well as search for test centers in your area. You will also be able to create an account on the website and register for the exam there.

Once you register for an exam, which entails paying an exam fee that is specific to each test, you will be able to select an exam date, testing center, and time.

Changing Your Exam Registration

Should you for any reason need to alter the date of your testing appointment, testing center, or time that you originally selected during the registration process, you are able to do so by logging into your account. To be eligible to change your registration, you must do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled testing time.

If you need to take a different test than the one you registered for, you are required to first withdraw your original registration before reregistering for another exam.

Preparing for the AEPA Exam

After you have registered for whatever AEPA exams you need to take, you may be interested in learning how you can prepare for these exams.

AEPA Resources: There are a number of resources available online that you can utilize to maximize your study efforts. The AEPA website provides study guides as well as test frameworks for each exam. The frameworks provide specific information about what type of content is covered on each exam, while the study guides provide sample questions. These resources are available for free.

Additionally, the website provides information on how to purchase interactive test preparation guides and practice tests for the NES tests.

Study.com Resources: You may also be interested in using some other online resources to prepare for the AEPA exams, such as those provided by Study.com. There are a large number of APEA exam study guides that you can access to help you prep for the exam. These study guides are organized by the different subject areas that will appear on each test, making it easy to focus on any areas that you might have more difficulty with. You can review the material on the study guides over and over again until you believe you have achieved mastery of the subject.

At that point, you may want to make use of the online AEPA practice tests provided by Study.com. These practice exams, of which there are more than 40, can help ensure that you are ready for test day. It may be especially helpful to try to replicate exam day conditions by taking the test in a quiet environment, not making use of any notes, and timing yourself.
