AP Calculus Exam Date

Instructor: Laura Melega
There are two Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus exams offered that provide students with the opportunity to earn college credit or advanced placement. Find out when the next exams are scheduled and how you can prepare.

Upcoming Exam Dates for AP Calculus

The AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC exams are offered at the same time on the same day every year, as the College Board forbids students from taking both tests during the same academic year. The next exam date for both AP Calculus exams is Thursday, May 5, 2016.

Registering for the Exam

To take an AP Calculus exam, students need to register through their school's AP administrator. If the student's school does not host an AP Calculus exam or if a student is homeschooled and wants to take the exam, they should contact AP Services for assistance.

Fees associated with each of the AP Calculus exams are as follows:

Per exam registration fee
United States, U.S. territories, and Canada
$92
Per exam registration fee
Outside the United States/Canada
$122

Exam Format

The number of questions and the time allotted for each section on the AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC exams are the same, but the AP Calculus BC exam covers more topics.
