CCXP Examination Costs and Fees

Individuals who are interested in becoming Certified Customer Experience Professionals (CCXP) can do so by following the proper application process and passing the CCXP certification exam. The costs associated with this process depend on whether or not the individual is a member of the Customer Experience Professionals Association (CXPA). Members of CXPA must pay a fee of $495, which includes both the application fee and the examination fee. Nonmembers are required to pay $695.

If an individual tries and fails to pass the CCXP examination on their first attempt, they may take the test again a maximum of two times during the six months that they are eligible to test. Members of CCXP must pay a fee of $199 per retake while nonmembers must pay a fee of $349 in order to take the test again.

Once individuals have passed the exam and become certified as CCXPs, they are also required to fulfill a number of continuing education requirements and must seek recertification after two years. This recertification costs $199 for CXPA members and $349 for nonmembers.

Preparing for the CCXP Exam

While it is possible to take the CCXP exam again if not successful on the first attempt, being able to pass the exam the first time is the most cost-effective option. Test-takers can do their best to ensure success on their first take by preparing for the exam properly.

The exam is comprised of 100 total questions, of which come from the following six competency areas:

  • Customer-Centric Culture
  • Voice of the Customer, Customer Insight, and Understanding
  • Organizational Adoption and Accountability
  • Customer Experience Strategy
  • Experience Design, Improvement, and Innovation
  • Metrics, Measurement, and ROI

In order to prepare for the questions, the CXPA has provided students with a list of resources online that students can use to locate test preparation courses and other exam resources.
