GED prep classes are often taught at libraries, community and technical colleges, and four-year universities. Every institution is going to have its own policies and times for when the classes will run; for example, the City College of New York holds classes from Monday through Thursday from 6 to 9 PM. The library of Haltom City, Texas offers classes every Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. Make sure to check around to find the best resources available, and see if any orientation or fees are required.

Taking Night Classes

Night courses for the GED may cover different sections appearing on the exam. The GED exam measures your proficiency in math, reading, language arts, social studies and science. Some classes may cover all of these subject areas, while other's may only cover certain ones. For example, the Community College of Philadelphia only offers GED classes for reading, writing and math skills. Other schools and colleges may not specify what goes into their prep classes.
