Georgia Real Estate Exam Dates

Dates of the Georgia Real Estate Licensing Exam

The real estate exam is a requirement for licensure as a sales associate or broker in the state of Georgia, and luckily, the exam is offered on a continual basis throughout the year. This is not a test that is only available on specific days. Instead, you can schedule your exam at nearly any point in the calendar year.

Unavailable Testing Dates and Cancelled Dates

While the exam is generally available throughout the year, the testing facilities may be closed on major holidays such as Christmas or Thanksgiving. This is something to keep in mind if you are planning to take your exam during a week with a major holiday. Contact your testing center to find out their specific scheduling policies.

Another reason an exam may not be available is inclement weather. If there is a severe weather event like a blizzard, tornado, or flood, the testing center may be closed for everyone's safety. You can check on inclement weather closures at the testing center website,, and clicking on 'Candidates.' This is the website for PSI/AMP, the company that runs the testing centers.

This is who handles test scheduling and administration.

Scheduling the Exam

The preferred method of scheduling the date for your real estate licensing exam is online. Start by going to On this website, select 'Candidates'. Under the 'Category' tab, select Real Estate. Under the 'Program' tab, select Georgia Examination Program. Finally, select your exam under the 'Select an Examination' tab. The website will walk you through the scheduling process from here, letting you select a date and testing location.

If you don't want to schedule your exam online, you can also call by telephone to set up a testing appointment. To do this, call PSI at 1-800-345-6559. They will require you to provide your personal information, including Social Security number, and to have an idea of when/where you want to take the test. This means it's a good idea to look up testing centers prior to calling.

In either case, you will have to make sure that all test registration fees are paid at this time. You cannot schedule your exam without paying these fees. Remember that testing seats are reserved first-come, first-served. If you wait too long, there is a chance that the location and time you want will be filled.

Changing Your Exam Date

So, what happens if you schedule your exam but then something important comes up? It is possible to reschedule your exam. However, in order to do so without a penalty, you must contact PSI by 4 p.m. EST at least two business days before the original scheduled exam. If you call PSI more than two business days before the original exam, you can reschedule the test one time without any penalty. If you reschedule the exam multiple times or do so within two business days of the original test, you may have to pay the entire test registration fee again.

Please note that you must call PSI in order to reschedule an exam. They will not reschedule an exam over email or through conventional mail.
