How to Create a Classroom on Study.com

Instructor: Laura Leftwich
Below you will learn how to create a classroom on Study.com to send lessons to all of your students in a few steps!

Hello! With our teacher edition memberships, you may share any lesson or chapter to your virtual classrooms.

Creating a Study.com Classroom for Your Students

You can begin creating classrooms from the Classrooms tab on the left-hand side of your User Dashboard. On this Classroom tab you will see an option to Create Classroom. After selecting this, you can name your first classroom (e.g. ''Second period'') and fill in your school name. You are able to create an unlimited number of classrooms for your students.

You then have two ways to get students into these classrooms.

Sending an email invite: You can send a direct link to each student by typing in their email addresses. Students will receive a direct link to create a free student account and join your classroom.

Add by classroom code: This option generates a specific classroom code that you can share with students in any way you choose. Students who have already set up a free student account will be able to join your classroom by entering this code. Students who receive a classroom code but do not have an existing free student account will be prompted to create one.

Importing a Google Classroom

To import a Google Classroom, start by navigating to the ''Classrooms Tab'' on the left-hand side of your dashboard. You should see a green button that says ''Import Google Classroom.'' Once you click ''Import Google Classroom,'' a separate window will pop up so you can log into the Gmail account use you use for Google Classrooms. When you log in, it will list all of your Google Classrooms with the number of students in each classroom. Please choose a classroom and click ''Import.'' They are now imported! Easy, right?

Your students now have been added to your Study.com and you may begin sharing lessons. Students will be able to view these lessons by going to Study.com and using the same login credentials as their Google Classroom.

Updating a Classroom

Need to add or remove a student from your saved classroom? No problem! Once you load your classroom, you may view your class list, including student email addresses. Start by navigating to your Classrooms Tab again and choose the classroom you wish to edit. To remove a student, click the three horizontal dots on the right-hand side of the student's email address and click ''Remove Student.''

To add a student to a specific classroom, choose the classroom of your choice and click ''Add Students.'' Study.com will give you three options to add a student. You may add a student with the classroom link, classroom code or may enter their email address.

Classrooms on Study.com are a great way to minimize prep time and help you stay organized when assigning Study.com lessons to students.
