Use Your Earth Science Class

You can get prepared to pass the Earth Science Regents Exam by making sure you get the most out of your earth science class. Studying your textbook, paying attention in class and completing your homework will go a long way to making sure you're ready to successfully pass this exam. Your instructor should go over the information covered by the exam and can answer your questions in class.

Put in Extra Study Time

Completing your classwork is a good place to start, but additional study time is going to make passing the Earth Science Regents Exam easier. Depending on your learning style you can make flashcards, check out review sheets available online, work with a study group and go over your notes. Take special care to make sure you're focusing on:

  • Earth facts and history
  • Rocks, minerals and earthquakes
  • Effects of weathering and erosion
  • Climate, meteorology and astronomy
  • Mapping

You should also ensure you're familiar with reference tables, so you're ready to effectively use them during the exam.

Be sure to find out if your school offers an online or physical prep center for the Regents exam. These centers usually offer great opportunities to prepare for the exam. If your school doesn't have a prep center, you can check out what's offered by other school districts. The exams are the same for the whole state, so you'll still be finding useful information.
