Study.com Courses

Study.com has tons of courses ready for you to take with your Student Premium Account! You can make your learning easier by taking one of our prepared courses for subjects you need to take and have an interest in. I'll show you how.

Using our 'Courses' Tab

At the top of any Study.com window, you can find a toolbar with drop down menus and quick links to take you to different resources. One of these is called 'Courses'. When you click the 'Courses' button, you will immediately be brought to a page with every online course, college class, and test prep courses we have to offer. If you aren't sure what courses you want to take, you can flip through our pages with all of our courses to find one that would be a fit for you.

Filtering in the Study.com Courses Page

Want to narrow your search to find the right courses for you? We have three filters on our Courses page to make it simple for you to choose which course you want to take next. Navigating to this page automatically defaults to showing you every course we have on our site, but you can pick the education level, subject, and goal of the types of courses you want to see.

Education Level

We offer courses from Pre-K to Professional Development, so you can check the boxes of the education level for those or any others in between in the Education Level filter. To further narrow your search, you can find courses that are appropriate per year in College, High School, Middle School, and Elementary School.

Subjects

The same goes for our Subjects filter. Find business, math, social science, and more! You can find more specific courses by clicking the drop down buttons for these. For example, you can view all of our Science courses by clicking the Science box, or you can narrow it down to only our Microbiology or Geology courses if that's what you're looking for.

Goals

This filter is useful for students who want to find courses with a specific goal in mind. If you would like to take one of our online college classes for credit, a test prep course, or career based courses, you can find the right filter for those here.

Using Our Search Functionality

Click the magnifying glass in the same toolbar you found our 'Courses' tab to search for courses you would like to take. You can type in the subject or class your are looking for, and all of our courses and lessons that relate to what you have searched will pop up for easy browsing.

Starting and Taking a Course

Once you have found the course that you want to take, you can click into it and be taken to its page. Here, you can see the details of the course before you get started with it. Our courses are provided with a Course Summary, Syllabus, and Tests. On their pages, you can see how many lessons are in each course, the average lesson length, and whether or not it is eligible for certificate.

Once you click the green 'Start This Course' button, you can track your progress and pick up where you left off. By passing quizzes, you can see how far you've come in your courses in your Course Progress module. Study.com also allows you to take a practice test to check your knowledge.
