Instructor: Jessica Bayliss's Workforce College Accelerator is a simple way for you to offer a college benefit to your employees. In this video, we'll demo exactly how the program works.

First, you'll send your eligible employees a short application to identify those who are interested in earning a college degree. can send the application on your behalf, if you prefer.

Liz is an employee at your company who wants to earn her degree. She fills out the application and assigns her a success coach who helps her determine her college goals. They identify that Liz wants to advance her career by earning a degree and also learning more about business principles. Liz also says that she needs a flexible, low-cost option. Liz decides to pursue a bachelor's degree in business from an accredited online university that will accept credits from

Before getting started on her degree, Liz's coach assigns her's College Readiness course. This course introduces Liz to's learning platform and measures her readiness for college-level work. Liz watches the first video lesson and then reviews the material by reading the transcript. When she's ready, she takes the short quiz. She progresses through the course by passing the quiz.

After Liz passes all the quizzes, her coach helps her create a degree plan. Liz took some college courses a few years ago, so her coach reviews her transcripts and the degree requirements to craft a custom plan and select Liz's first course: Business 101: Principles of Management.

She wants to complete one course a month, so she uses's Study Trainer tool to set up a study schedule. She plans to do most of her studying during her lunch break. Then she starts learning! She starts with the first lesson, 'Management in Organizations' and completes about 4 lessons during each study session. She usually passes the quiz on the first try. If she doesn't pass, she simply goes back to the lesson to review the material. Then she retakes the quiz.

Her coach checks in regularly to make sure Liz is staying on track. After Liz completes all the lessons, she starts studying for the final exam.

She reviews all the material with the course flashcards and then takes the practice final exam a few times to boost her confidence. When she's ready, she takes the proctored final exam. The exam uses remote proctoring, which means Liz can take the exam on her own computer and on her own schedule. She uses her webcam to verify her identity and demonstrate to the proctor that she is not cheating. She receives her results from's registrar a few days later. Liz earns an 84%, which is well above the overall course grade of 70% she needs to pass the course.

Liz completes Business 101 on time and moves onto her next course, Business 108: Business Ethics.

After completing the maximum number of courses she can take from, Liz's coach helps her enroll in her chosen university, Thomas Edison State University and transfer her credits. Liz then completes her final courses online from Thomas Edison State University. After completing her courses, she earns her degree.
