Selection & Eligibility Criteria

Study.com awards one teacher grant per school year. The next deadline for applications is September 1, 2019. There will be one winner per submission cycle.

All full-time teachers seeking funds for their classroom are encouraged to apply! The application process is completely online. Selection will be based on the eligibility criteria below as well as free responses submitted by applicants. Financial need will not be considered.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident.
  • Must consent to provide a digital photograph of self and quote for display on Study.com if notified as the award winner by the selection committee.
  • Must be an active, full-time preschool to 12th grade teacher who spends at least 50% of your timetabled hours providing direct instruction to students.
  • Funds must be applied to materials or programs that will directly benefit student learning and outcomes.
  • Funds may not be applied to student loans or personal needs.

Grant Provider & Conditions

The teacher grant award is provided by Study.com.

The winner will be notified following the deadline, and the award will be sent directly to the recipient by check to the permanent mailing address noted in the application.

Grant winners will be issued an IRS form 1099 (or the equivalent). This will require contest winners to provide Study.com with certain personal information prior to receipt of their winnings.
