How It Works

Meet Kate. She works for your company, has a high school diploma and has always wanted to go to college, but until now that dream has been out of reach.

Fortunately for Kate, your company now provides Study.com's College Accelerator as an employee benefit. Through this program, Kate can earn a college degree that is flexible and works within her busy schedule.

After Kate activates her account, she works with her Success Coach to get a personalized degree roadmap, which tells her exactly which courses she needs to earn her degree.

Kate wants to earn a bachelor's degree in business from Thomas Edison State University.

She starts by taking Business 101: Principles of Management. She watches the 5 minute video lessons on her phone during her lunch break and on her computer at night. Kate learns best by watching the video first and then reading the transcript. Afterwards, she takes a short quiz to make progress through the course.

Kate aims to complete one course per month. With the help of her Success Coach and other tools on Study.com, she stays on track with a study schedule and gets reminders. She's also become a more engaged employee and gained valuable workplace skills through her coursework.

After Kate completes the maximum number of Study.com courses she can transfer for credit, her Success Coach helps her transfer her credits and enroll at Thomas Edison State University. Then she completes her final online courses at Thomas Edison State University and graduates.

Now Kate has earned her bachelor's degree, advanced her career and improved her quality of life.
