Test Dates for the TExES Math 7-12 Exam

The TExES Math 7-12 exam is offered on a continuous basis, meaning there is no one fixed date for which candidates must appear. Instead, individuals can choose when they would like to sit for the exam during the registration process.

Registering for the Exam

By following the steps listed below, you can quickly sign up for the exam and choose your test date.

#1. Creating an ETS account

In order to sign up, you'll need to first create an account on the Texas Education Agency (TEA) website, after which point you'll be issued an ID number necessary for completing the registration process.

You must then create a separate account with the Educational Testing Service, the company that administers the TExES assessments. If you already possess an ETS account, you can simply use your pre-existing information when registering.

#2. Agreeing to Registration/Testing Requirements

Next, you'll have to agree to the terms and conditions of the registration process as well as testing policies. Be sure to carefully read these terms and confirm that you agree to comply by all applicable rules.

#3. Scheduling Your Test

Now it's time to officially choose your test date. Scheduling a TExES test requires you to enter five pieces of information:

  • The test you're taking (in this case, the TExES Math 7-12 exam)
  • Your location
  • Your desired testing center
  • An available test date
  • A morning or afternoon test session (when applicable)

Once you have selected all of your options, click the 'Add Test' button to place it on your ledger. You can also use this period to register for any other TExES tests that you may be preparing to take.

#4. Reviewing Your Order

At this point, you'll be prompted to review your selections and confirm that everything is in order. You should take extra care to verify the information you have provided. You'll incur extra fees if any errors made during the registration process cause you to wind up changing your test date or location after this point.

This is also the stage where you will have to enter your payment information. The fee for the TExES Math 7-12 exam is $131.

#5. Submission & Confirmation

After a quick review, you can hit the 'Next' button to officially sign up for the test. Assuming your payment information processes, you will be presented with your admission ticket, which serves as a confirmation of your registration.

What to Bring on Test Day

In order to gain admittance to the testing site, you'll need to bring two important documents:

  • First, you'll need to print out a copy of your admission ticket. This serves as proof of registration and grants you entry into the test center.
  • You'll also need to bring a valid photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, to prove your identity.
  • You'll need to bring a graphing calculator. When you register for the test, check the website to find the list of approved models.
