Purchasing a CLEP Exam
In order to purchase any of the 33 exams from the CLEP website, you'll need to have a College Board account. If you don't already have one of these accounts, you can easily create one from the main CLEP test takers page by clicking on 'Create an Account' on the upper right side of the page.
Learning About Your School's CLEP Policy
Before registering to take any exams, you will want to review your college or university's policy on CLEP tests to see which exams are accepted and how much credit you can potentially earn through CLEP testing. From the CLEP test takers page, move your cursor over the Get Started with CLEP tab, and then click on 'Getting College Credit' to learn more.
Also from the main CLEP test takers page you'll find a Test Preparation tab. By moving your cursor over this tab, you'll see different links you can click on, including ones for study tips, free sample questions, test day info and study resources you can purchase.
Study.com has many CLEP prep courses that are available for a low monthly fee. These courses feature engaging video lessons that have a short average duration of only about eight minutes. You can check your understanding of the lessons by completing the accompanying practice quizzes. Other practice opportunities include the chapter exams and comprehensive course exams.
