Sometimes, transferring college credit isn't as simple as you want it to be. If you've recently found that your college of choice does not accept Study.com courses for credit, watch this video to figure out your other possible options.

Hello! Study.com has dozens of courses recommended for college credit through the American Council on Education (ACE) and the National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS). You can take these courses and exams from the comfort of your own home and earn real college credit that you can transfer to over 2,000 different schools and universities. But what if the school you're applying to doesn't accept these credits?

While the school or university of your choice might not accept Study.com's for-credit courses, there are other ways to use Study.com to earn and transfer credit toward your degree. The most popular alternative to Study.com is to take a credit-granting exam. Credit from these exams is widely accepted by colleges, and you can easily prepare for the exam with Study.com courses. The three most popular exams are:

  • CLEP
  • DSST
  • UExcel

How it works is simple. Once you've decided which exam you want to take, start preparing on Study.com. You can watch our short video lessons on the go and take quizzes to check your learning. When you're ready, you can register for your exam and transfer credit to your school. Your Study.com subscription lets you prepare for as many exams as you want.

If your school or university does not accept transferable credit from Study.com, check to see if any of these three exams are eligible instead. Then, Study.com can help you pass your exam and earn college credit!
