Divisibility - Chapter Summary and Learning Objectives

Divisibility lessons allow you to reinforce the divisibility rules by which 6th-8th graders can judge whether certain numbers are divisible by specific groups of digits. They can learn, for example, that even numbers are divisible by 2, numbers that end in a zero or 5 can be divided evenly by 5, and that if numbers are divisible by 2 or 3, they can also be divided by 6. When studying the lessons in this Divisibility chapter, your students can become skilled at:

  • Identifying numbers that are divisible by 2
  • Finding numbers that can be divided by 5 and 6
  • Identifying numbers that they can divide by 9 and 10
