# Ch 2: 6th-8th Grade Math: Divisibility

### About This Chapter

## Divisibility - Chapter Summary and Learning Objectives

Divisibility lessons allow you to reinforce the divisibility rules by which 6th-8th graders can judge whether certain numbers are divisible by specific groups of digits. They can learn, for example, that even numbers are divisible by 2, numbers that end in a zero or 5 can be divided evenly by 5, and that if numbers are divisible by 2 or 3, they can also be divided by 6. When studying the lessons in this Divisibility chapter, your students can become skilled at:

- Identifying numbers that are divisible by 2
- Finding numbers that can be divided by 5 and 6
- Identifying numbers that they can divide by 9 and 10

Video | Objective |
---|---|

Divisibility by 2, 3 and 4 | Students learn to determine which numbers can be divided by these digits. |

Divisibility by 5, 6 and 7 | Instructors help to explore the numbers that can be evenly divided by 5, 6 and 7. |

Divisibility by 8, 9 and 10 | Students find the numbers that they can divide by these digits. |

### 1. Divisibility by 2, 3, and 4

In this video lesson, you will learn what it means to be divisible. Also, you'll see what numbers are divisible by 2, 3, and 4. You will also learn how you can check if something is divisible by these numbers.

### 2. Divisibility by 5, 6, and 7

In this video lesson, we will see what numbers can be divided equally by 5, 6, and 7. Learn the pattern that you can use to find other numbers divisible by 5, 6 and 7. Learn how you can visualize divisibility.

### 3. Divisibility by 8, 9, and 10

In this video lesson, we will see what numbers are divisible by 8, 9, and 10. You will learn how you can figure out these numbers yourself. Learn what it means to be divisible.
