About the Exam
The CSET Science Test covers subject specific information using three subtests. The first and second subtests cover general science information, while the third focuses on the examinee's area of specialization. These tests are all computer-based tests and include a mix of multiple-choice and constructed-response questions. Tests I and II both include 58 multiple-choice and two constructed-response questions, while test III is made of up 50 multiple-choice and three constructed-response questions. Each of these subtests has a two-hour time limit, for a total exam time of six hours. You must achieve a score of 220 on each subtest in order to pass. Test results are made available within seven weeks of the exam.
CSET English Subtest II Preparation & Registration
This study guide helps you ready yourself to take the CSET Science test. Short video lessons provide a quick refresher on topics you have previously learned, or introduce you to new and useful knowledge. These lessons cover the basics of many different fields of science, including biology, anatomy and physiology as well as Earth science. They also review scientific mathematics, including how mathematical analysis can be used when reviewing experimental data. Once you have finished each lesson, the included self-assessment quiz allows you to quickly test your new knowledge.
This exam is available by appointment Monday through Saturday, excluding specific holidays. You are required to register online and pay the testing fee before taking your exam.
