AEPA Math: Trigonometric Graphs - Chapter Summary

This chapter covers the trigonometric graphing concepts you'll likely see on the AEPA Math assessment. Short, engaging videos can be viewed from all Internet-enabled devices, making it easy to study on the go. As you work through this chapter, you will cover:

  • Sine and cosine transformation graphs
  • How to graph the tangent function
  • Amplitude, period, phase shift and vertical shift
  • Graphical representations of cosecant, secant and cotangent functions
  • Interpreting trigonometric graphs and using them to solve equations

A transcript follows each video, highlighting key terms, ideas, functions and formulas. Use the short quiz after each lesson to test your understanding of the ideas you've covered and pinpoint areas that need additional study.

Objectives of the AEPA Math: Trigonometric Graphs Chapter

The many resources in this chapter help you master the trigonometric graphing concepts you'll likely find as you work through the AEPA Math assessment. Items concerning trigonometry and calculus make up 19% of the exam.

The remaining four content domains are as follows: measurement and geometry (19%); statistics, probability and discrete mathematics (19%); mathematical processes and number sense (19%); and patterns, algebra and functions (24%). The test is computer-administered and timed to last four hours and fifteen minutes. Test questions are presented in multiple-choice format.
