AEPA: Western Civilization Since 1945 Objectives

The NES Middle Grades Social Science exam measures prospective middle grades teachers' mastery over the social sciences. On test day, be prepared to complete 150 multiple-choice questions in a three-hour testing session. Fifty percent of the questions on this exam belong to the history domain, and these may include some questions about the events that followed WWII and how these events shaped present day society. The purpose of this chapter is to help you improve your understanding of these events so that you will be better prepared for these questions on test day.
