Assessment & Problem Analysis in School Psychology - Chapter Summary
The different categories of psychological assessments such as projective tests, inventories and aptitude tests are reviewed in this chapter. You'll see lessons containing information on the difference between informal and formal assessments and also the distinction between the formal assessment types of pencil-paper and performance assessments. Behavioral and cognitive assessments and their limitations are also discussed in the chapter.
Special education considerations are further covered in this chapter and include the usefulness of ecological assessments in crafting an Individualized Education Program (IEP). An ecological assessment is one type of assessment that is used to help students that have special needs. In this lesson, we discuss ecological assessments, what they entail, and how they are used.

Anyone who works in a school needs to have tools for collecting data to inform decision making. This lesson will address different technologies that can help in the collection and organization process.
8. Assessing the Quality & Effectiveness of Academic, Mental Health & System-Level Services
In this lesson, we will identify strategies for assessing the quality and effectiveness of academic, mental health & system-level services from the perspective of a consumer of these services.
