ASVAB: Geometry & Algebra - Chapter Summary

ASVAB: Geometry & Algebra Objectives
There are two math sub-tests of the ten appearing on the ASVAB. These are especially important, since they're also two of the four that will determine your eligibility for enlistment. The Arithmetic Reasoning portion assesses your competencies in solving math word problems, and the Mathematics Knowledge section checks your skills related to high school math principles. You can take the complete battery on a computer or with pencil and paper, and our multiple-choice assessments give you valuable practice for test day.
1. Points, Lines & Angles in Geometry
After watching this video lesson, you should understand the basic terms that form the foundation of geometry. Learn what a point is, what a line is, what an angle is, and learn about a special type of angle called a right angle.

3. What is an Obtuse Angle? - Definition & Examples

4. Complementary Angles: Definition, Theorem & Examples
In this lesson, we will define complementary angles and see how they may appear in diagrams. We will discuss two common theorems that involve complementary angles. Then you can test your knowledge with a quiz.
5. Supplementary Angle: Definition & Theorem
There are many important angle pairs in geometry. In this lesson, we'll learn about supplementary angles, including what they are, where they are used, and why you need to know about them.
6. What is a Straight Angle? - Definition & Example
This lesson will be an explanation of what a straight angle is. It will include several examples that fully demonstrate the straight angle in contrast with other angles.
7. Types of Angles: Vertical, Corresponding, Alternate Interior & Others
In addition to basic right, acute, or obtuse angles, there are many other types of angles or angle relationships. In this lesson, we will learn to identify these angle relationships and discuss their measurements.
8. Properties of Shapes: Triangles
Isosceles, equilateral and obtuse, oh my! These are terms for triangles. But, what do they mean? In this lesson, we'll explore the properties of triangles and take a closer look at the different types of triangles you may encounter.
9. Properties of Right Triangles: Theorems & Proofs
In this lesson, you will learn about the properties of and theorems associated with right triangles, which have a wide range of applications in math and science. Specifically, we will discuss and prove the Pythagorean theorem and the right triangle altitude theorem. Let's get started.
10. The Pythagorean Theorem: Practice and Application

17. How to Find and Apply The Slope of a Line
In this lesson, we'll discover all about the slopes of lines. We'll learn about different types of slopes and how to find the slopes of lines. We'll use two methods: the slope formula and the slope-intercept form.
