Between the World Wars - ORELA Middle Grades Social Science Objectives

The ORELA exam assesses whether or not an educator meets the standard qualifications to teach middle grades social studies in the state of Oregon. A passing score will result in professional certification. The exam is scored based on 4 content areas. The information reviewed in this chapter will prepare you for questions about history on the exam, which account for 50% of the total score.

The ORELA is a computer-based exam that is comprised of 150 multiple-choice questions. You will have 3 hours to complete the exam. A score of 227 or higher is needed to qualify for certification.
