Ch 31: CEOE Advanced Math: Angles

About This Chapter

Geometry is all about understanding shapes and angles, so allow this chapter to refresh your memory about the different types of angles. Before taking the CEOE Advanced Mathematics Test, use our quiz questions about angles for extra practice.

CEOE Advanced Math: Angles - Chapter Summary

To perform geometry equations successfully, as well as other higher forms of mathematics, you need to comprehend the basics of angles, lines, and geometric figures. In this chapter, you will have the opportunity to review angles, and by doing so you will be better prepared for questions on the CEOE Advanced Mathematics Test that might ask you about the following topics:

  • Right angles and related formulas
  • Obtuse angles and associated equations
  • Acute angles and their properties

Some of the best features offered on this site are the assessment tools, namely the quizzes at the end of each lesson and the chapter exams. Our assessment tools can tell you definitively what information you know and what you may need to review before the CEOE Advanced Mathematics Test. Therefore, start off by going to the quiz questions on each of these lessons. Answering multiple-choice style questions will be good practice for the test. Plus, if you answer any question incorrectly, you can instantly watch that connected video lesson until you have a better handle on the topic.

CEOE Advanced Math: Angles Chapter Objectives

For initial certification and licensure in Oklahoma, teachers must take three different types of tests, including an Oklahoma Subject Area Test (OSAT), such as the CEOE Advanced Mathematics Test. Math teachers who pursue this assessment will be challenged to prove how well they know five different key areas of mathematics, including algebra, mathematical logic and processes, geometry, probability and statistics, and trigonometry. Nearly all of the 81 questions are multiple-choice in one form or another, but one question will require test-takers to draft up an original response.

Nearly 20% of the test consists of geometry questions, and some of those questions may include problems that can only be solved by those who possess thorough knowledge of angles. Fortunately, you can dust off your memories about the rules and properties of angles by carefully watching each of the lessons available in this chapter.
