Establishing the US: ORELA Middle Grades Social Science Objectives

Meant to serve as part of the certification process for those interested in teaching middle school social science courses, the ORELA Middle Grades Social Science exam tests the knowledge of pertinent information, divided into four domains. Half of the roughly 150 questions pertain to history content, including the beginnings of American government and contributions of important leaders during this time period. The lessons of this chapter will review the story of the early years of the American government to make sure you can remember all pertinent facts in preparation for the test. The quizzes in each lesson will give you opportunities to answer history questions in a multiple-choice format, much like the setup of the exam itself.
