GACE Behavioral Science: Language and Cognitive Development - Chapter Objectives

The GACE Behavioral Science Exam is a two-part standardized test that evaluates your knowledge and understanding of psychology, sociology and anthropology. Your score will determine if you are eligible to be licensed to teach related courses in the state of Georgia. The lessons in this Language and Cognitive Development chapter fall within Test I Subarea I: Psychology, which comprises 80% of the questions on Test I. You can gauge your mastery of the material and practice answering questions like those on the test by taking the self-assessment quizzes that accompany the video lessons.

There are 60 selected-response items on Test I, and 60 selected-response items on Test II. These tests may be taken separately or together. The selected-response items will present you with a passage or question followed by several possible answers. From these, you must pick the single correct one.
