The GACE History Exam is a comprehensive test of your knowledge of history that is administered in two parts. You may take both parts together, on the same day, or on different days, but you must pass both to be licensed as a teacher in the state of Georgia. The topics on the Byzantine Empire chapter fall under the first part: Test I, Subarea I: World History to 1450 CE. This subarea makes up 40% of the test questions. By taking the self-assessment quizzes that accompany the videos, you can see how much of the material you have remembered and at the same time gain valuable practice with the kinds of questions that make up the test.

The GACE History Exam, Test I and Test II are both made up of selected-response test items. These present you with passages and questions followed by several response alternatives. From these alternatives, you must select the correct answer.
