### About This Chapter

## GACE Middle Grades Math: Angles - Chapter Summary

This chapter covers the different types of angles that you'll be asked about on the GACE Middle Grades Mathematics Assessment. You'll get an idea of the types of questions you can expect on:

- Acute angles
- Obtuse angles
- Right angles and their formula

Use the video timeline to skip concepts you already know and quickly link to the areas you need to review. Each lesson comes with a full written transcript that you can use as a study resource or to follow along with the lesson. Test your knowledge with lesson quizzes and a chapter exam.

### GACE Middle Grades Math: Angles - Objectives

The lessons in this chapter correspond to questions on the types and properties of angles in the geometry and data subarea of the GACE Middle Grades Mathematics Assessment, which makes up 35% of the total test questions. The test as a whole consists of 45 selected-response questions, which you will have two hours to answer. Because the exam is taken electronically, you will have another 30 minutes for system tutorials and screen directions. The GACE Middle Grades Mathematics Assessment is a requirement for middle school math teachers in the state of Georgia.

### 1. What is an Acute Angle? - Definition, Description & Examples

In this lesson, you'll learn what makes an angle acute and see a few different examples of them. After the lesson, you can test your new knowledge with a brief quiz.

### 2. What is an Obtuse Angle? - Definition & Examples

In this lesson, you'll learn what angles, right angles, and obtuse angles are; you'll see a few examples of different obtuse angles. Test your knowledge with a brief quiz once you've completed the lesson.

### 3. What is a Right Angle? - Definition & Formula

In this lesson, you will learn about the properties that identify right angles. You will also discover where right angles can be found and learn about what makes them so useful. You can then test your knowledge with a quiz.
