3. Plotting Points on the Coordinate Plane
If you'll be working with a graph, otherwise known as the coordinate plane, it's essential to understand how it works. This includes learning the parts of a graph, identifying points and plotting points.
4. End Point: Definition & Formula
This lesson will familiarize you with endpoints, how to identify them, and how to find them algebraically. We'll go over what endpoints look like on a graph and what information we need to identify endpoints of a line segment.
5. Math Coordinates: Definition & Concept
In this lesson, we will learn about Cartesian math coordinates. Math coordinates give a location on a map or graph. The math coordinates are a way to locate the point on a graph or map, like an address.
6. Null Set: Definition & Example
The null set is the set that contains no elements. In this lesson. learn how the null set arises naturally when you place certain restrictions on sets, and explore some very useful properties in set theory.
7. Undefined Slope: Definition & Examples
In this lesson, you will learn why the slope of a vertical line is called undefined or infinite. You will also learn about the equation of a line with undefined slope.
8. Vertical Line: Equation & Slope
In this lesson, we will study a vertical line and find the equation in which to represent it. We will explore the slope equation and use it to determine the slope of a vertical line.
9. What is Slope Intercept Form? - Definition, Equation & Examples
The slope-intercept form is one of several ways you can write the equation of a line. In this lesson, you will learn about the definition and equation of the slope-intercept form and work through some real-world examples.
10. Y-Axis: Definition & Overview
The y-axis is the vertical 'ruler' on a Cartesian plane, a two-dimensional graph. Learn why it is important in mathematical graphing and how it relates to describing vertical and horizontal distances.
